Animated Pledge Page

Many charities run gala dinners and other activities that include a pledge moment where people in the room can make a donation to the cause. To make this moment more engaging, GiveTap has a pledge page which can be accessed via a web browser and projected onto a big screen, giving the audience a view of donations as they come in.

How to set it up

1. To enable this feature please head to the ‘QR + Card Reader’ section and either create a new campaign or edit an existing one. 
2. You will see a tab with the label ‘Pledges’. Click on this and toggle on ‘Enable Pledges Page’.
3. Upload a logo, select an Animation Type and customise the colours:
   1. Background Colour: controls the solid background of the pledge page
   2. Animation Colour: controls the background colour of the animations that appear on page
   3. Highlight Colour: this option is only available for the Flower and Star Animation Types
   4. Animation Text Colour: controls the text that overlays on top of the animations
   5. Totalizer Text Colour: controls the colour of the text on the totalizer
4. Randomize Animation Size: this option allows you to randomize the size of the animations that appear on the pledge page. They will vary in size by 100% - 130%.
5. Randomize Animation Rotation: this option allows you to randomize the orientation of the animation as it appears on screen
6. Enable Totalizer: this option allows you to display a running total in the bottom right hand corner showing the total of all donations processed since the pledge page was last refreshed

Important consideration: to avoid displaying all historical donations on a campaign, the pledge page will be blank when it is loaded. It will animate any donations from that point on. It’s important not to refresh the page during the pledge moment as doing so will reset the donations displayed on the page.

Supported donation methods

The pledge page will animate when a donation is made via the QR donate flow or via our mobile apps (card readers) when the current campaign is selected.

Inside the editor you have two buttons on the right hand side:

• Pledges Page: this will load the blank pledge page and will automatically display live donations as they happen
• Animation Demo: this option will simulate 50 fake donations in quick succession to illustrate how the pledge page works
